Contentment

(A Novella about a contentment epidemic)

Contentment is a novella I wrote as a gift for my wife based of an idea she had for a story when she was younger. It explores emotional authenticity and the cost of instant gratification through the lens of 7 siblings and there evolving relationships in a world where emotions can be bottled and sold.

What’s the true cost of contentment?

Beneath the polished façade of their lives, a family struggles to hold itself together. Each member has carefully curated the image they present to the world, but the weight of their secrets is beginning to crack the foundation. As long-buried tensions rise and the bonds of love and loyalty are tested, uncomfortable truths emerge—threatening to shatter their fragile equilibrium.

Contentment is a gripping exploration of the price we pay to uphold appearances and the sacrifices made in the name of perfection. Provocative and haunting, it asks: how far would you go to escape the weight of your emotions—and what would you risk to keep the world from seeing what lies beneath?
